CWHI is proud to provide an update on the Phase II construction of its Qinzhou Yard facility in Guangxi, China, which, once complete, will become one of the worlds largest, state-of-the-art XXXL Mono-pile manufacturing facilities.
Qinzhou Yard as Phase II nears completion
Full annual production capacity will be reached upon completion of Phase 2, currently in the final stages of development, and due to conclude in November. With a total area of approximately 430,000m2, the new facility has an annual production capacity of 96 XXXL Mono-piles (with a maximum diameter of 15 metres and a maximum weight of 4,500 tons) delivered via 8 offshore wind power XXXL Mono-pile foundation production lines, part of one of the largest steel structure workshops in China.
The second structural workshop delivered for Phase II measures 400m in length, 54m in width and stands 34m tall. Additional features include a 307 meter long, 13 meter-deep quayside, capable of accommodating vessels up to and including 100,000 ton ships, and a load bearing capacity of 20T/m2.
CWHI’s Chief Development Officer, Dale Young, said:
"We are pleased to have reached key milestones as we near the completion of Phase II. Our capabilities, capacity and experience position us as a leading fabrication partner in the offshore energy industry."
Qinzhou Yard will contribute to the growing number of fabrication projects recently delivered by the group across the offshore wind, oil & gas and infrastructure sectors.
